S'marvelous, s'wonderful, it's the Vantastival!
It's that time of year again. Summer! Didn't notice yet eh.? Well one signal that Summer has arrived is the appearance of posters for the wonderful Vantastival music festival which will take place this weekend in Bellurgan, County Louth.
Boasting a truly eclectic mix of Irish bands ranging in diversity from Irelands finest song agitator Jinx Lennon over the stunning "I just can't believe their not from Tennessee" - I Draw Slow, to the ever thrilling Cathy Davey and sporting a real Green and sustainability agenda and a fair ticket price, this festival looks like being a winner all the way. Smaller and more down to earth and without the elitist celebrity ridden baggage of the otherwise excellent Electric Picnic it also promises to be extremely family friendly.
Why not drop in and break the journey at one of our excellent Applegreen motorway facilities at Lusk and Castlebellingham on your way to or from the festival. Clean toilets, lots of parking, good food, the best coffee on the road, sure what more could a weary festival-goer want.
The festival site will be open from 2pm on Friday 4th May 2012. The box office will be open from 2pm to 11.30pm
On this weekend, the first really big holiday weekend of the year take care while driving and most importantly slow down, take regular breaks and be courteous to your fellow road users. Statistics show that 25% of accidents could be avoided with a little more patience and consideration for your fellow motorists.
