Going the extra mile.

During all the excitement of the new M1 motorway station opening, which by the way is attracting all kinds of positive feedback from facility starved transumers and industry people alike, a different kind of opening was going down on the N8 exactly half way between Dublin and Cork.

A new stretch of motorway was opened early in December between Cashel and Cullahill.  The upshot of this development is that it has become more difficult for motorists  to avail of the facilities of the landmark Applegreen at Josephine's in Urlingford. The station, the first Applegreen to open in Ireland, no longer lies directly on the main Cork /Dublin route which means that motorists have to work a little harder to sample the best coffee on the road and other Applegreen treats. Josephine's has also long been a favorite of female motorists because of the excellent toilet facilities and they too  have to  go the extra mile for some relief. The Urlingford Applegreen is still and has been for years offering motorists simply rock bottom prices for both diesel and petrol  so luckily it's well worth the extra effort to get there as facilities on the M/N 8 are few and far between.

The boss has been hinting (in his own inimitable way) that new offers are on the way at all Applegreen stations, offers which he suggests will make life easier for all our customers. He loves his special offers. "Listen to the customer and give them what they want, simple solutions daily", he say's. He's probably right, he generally is.
