Life's a bitch.

The Applegreen Flyer, that dog among dogs, took time out from training in the heart of Tipperary, to safely move into the next round of the Pat Ryan Stakes competition in Thurles, a dog-town of distinction, last week. His next outing is on Friday 11th at the same venue.

One thing is sure, he is not 100% happy with an outside lane. Secretly, (and I would really appreciate it if you would keep this information to yourself) he prefers an inside lane, is slow to get going, but finishes like a nuclear missile. He is still young and has a very bright future ahead of him. Thats the word from our dog pundit Anto, who is in constant communication with the apparently happy hound.

In fact it was through Anto's intimate knowledge of the dog world that have managed to get a message to him (the Flyer) that the more races he wins, the better the chance he will end his days on a luxury stud farm in the Galtee mountains, with an endless supply of willing partners. So far this seems to have made a big impact on the Flyers performances with his time improving in every race. That's the word on the streets, you didn't hear it from me.
